Lindsey Carpentier M.S., P.L.P.C. | EMDR Trained
It turns out, being a person is actually pretty hard sometimes! It's my honor to be a loving witness and helping hand along your way. I've received a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University and along with many lived experiences have developed an eclectic and trauma-informed approach to care.
I enjoy working with clients that have a history of complex or relational trauma, or even those that just feel a bit lost and overwhelmed in the here and now. Maybe you grew up in a chaotic environment or had a caregiver that was emotionally distant. Regardless of your past, I'd love to assist you in designing your future. Through curiosity and with care we can explore the patterns in your life, rediscover your authentic self, and then integrate these new perspectives into your body, mind, and heart.
Some of the modalities that I use in therapy include EMDR, CBT (DBT, ACT, and mindfulness), narrative therapy, as well as expressive and projective art techniques. Play therapy (aged 4+) is also offered for children that may be struggling with emotional dysregulation, divorce, or grief. And I appreciate working with those of any age with neurodiversity (ADHD/Autism).
